Huge reserves of understated power and the finest
tradition of British coachbuilding come together in
the Bentley Arnage range of three Grand Touring saloons,
each with its own distinctive character and style.
Whether it’s the high performance Arnage T, the
beautifully refined Arnage R or the stately Arnage
RL, no other car can be hand-built to customer requirements
with such delicacy and care.
Arnage R
The refined Grand Tourer with comfort and elegance
clearly to the fore. The Arnage R expresses a balance
of craft and composure that is uniquely Bentley.
Arnage T
With effortless power and astonishing acceleration,
it is the quintessential sporting Grand Tourer offering
a truly exhilarating driving experience.
Arnage RL
The Arnage RL is a grand touring limousine designed
to accommodate all the luxuries of contemporary first
class travel, moulded around the individual lifestyle
of the customer.
Arnage Exterior
Colours
Apart from the beautiful grain of unbleached Burr Walnut,
which remains the classic Bentley veneer, there are seven
other choices in our standard range. Through Bentley Mulliner,
you are welcome to discuss any other possibilities you
may have in mind - a tree from your own forest, perhaps.
Whatever your choice, it will take two weeks to prepare
the wood and several more days to apply the five coats
of lacquer. Exquisite details of wood inlay are another
unique feature of the Arnage range.
Ehe Arnage R and RL are equipped as standard with a 450bhp
(336kW) version of Bentley’s renowned 6.75 litre
V8 engine, generating a remarkable 645lb ft (875Nm) of
torque at just 1,800rpm. This translates into a maximum
speed of 168mph (270km/h) and a 0-60mph time of just
5.5 seconds and 5.7 seconds respectively for the Arnage
R and RL. The Arnage T is even more powerful. With 500bhp
(373kW) and an astonishing 738lb ft (1,000Nm) of torque
at 3,200rpm, it is one of the most powerful cars in the
world. A maximum speed of 179mph (288km/h) and a 0-60mph
time of just 5.2 seconds underline its sporting prowess.
Arnage Engine
Massive reserves of power and superb low-end torque are
common to everyies the sportiest end of the performa
Arnage. While the T designation signifnce spectrum, the “refined” nature
of the Arnage R is beautifully expressed through this
innovative engine tune.
For the 2007 Model Year,
the V8 engine has undergone a further upgrade, delivering
increased power and torque and a more urgent response to
the throttle: The Arnage R and RL are now equipped as standard
with a 450bhp (336kW) version of Bentley’s renowned
6.75 litre V8 engine, generating a remarkable 645lb ft
(875Nm) of torque at just 1,800rpm. This translates into
a maximum speed of 168mph (270km/h) and a 0-60mph time
of just 5.5 seconds and 5.7 seconds respectively for the
Arnage R and RL.
The Arnage T is even more powerful. With 500bhp (373kW)
and an astonishing 738lb ft (1,000Nm) of torque at 3,200rpm,
it is one of the most powerful cars in the world. A maximum
speed of 179mph (288km/h) and a 0-60mph time of just 5.2
seconds underline its sporting prowess.
Arnage Safety
& Security
The most advanced active and passive safety systems are
specified as standard for the Arnage range.
Braking and traction control are key ingredients of Arnage
performance.
Full sized driver and front passenger airbags with side
impact air curtain with thorax airbag systems for front
and rear occupants provide wraparound passive safety.
Micro-alloy
ventilated discs all round provide immense braking power
that’s as smooth as it is swift. They are complemented
by six additional braking and traction systems for supreme
control under all conditions. Apart from the expected
ABS, hydraulic brake assist and the ASR traction control
system, the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Electronic
Brake Pressure Distribution, and an MSR engine drag torque
control are fitted as standard. For 2007 Model Year a
new ESP system has been developed in to ensure that the
extra power and torque delivered by the engine can be
put down on the road more smoothly and effectively, naturally
with no deterioration in safety for the driver and passengers.
